The Harte Research Institute is a newly created marine science research facility. The design of the Institute is conceived as an integration of the technological and the organic. Brick, stainless steel and glass render the science spaces as taut and technical while public areas counter with the same materials expressed organically flowing, slicing and swimming through the building from the campus approach to the conference center overlooking Corpus Christi Bay.
